This is why the courts need to be broadcast so that things happen in full public view.  Even today, Epstein would not be getting put away if not for the publicity.  That aside, it's likely that Epstein had to return to the U.S. because he was on the verge of being arrested overseas for continued preying on children.  That would explain how they knew to be there on the spot to make the arrest as soon as he got off his plane.  With the availability of the internet there is no reason for courts not to be the public places they were intended to be.
